The Redick Family

Tanner Redick and Ty Redick (brothers) purchased White Cloud Outfitters from Jerrod Farr in 2026 and renamed it Redick Outfitting.

They grew up hunting, fishing, guiding, trapping, training horses and spent a lot of time in the outdoors around the Challis area.

Tanner Redick

Tanner began his guiding career early when his dad, Leigh Redick, bought a fishing and rafting outfit on the Salmon River. When he turned 16 he began training on the Middle Fork of the Salmon river with Steve Zettel and started guiding once he was 18.

Tanner went to USMC for his post high school education… otherwise known as the United States Marine Corps. He served four years as a rifleman in the infantry and got out as a sergeant. He returned to Challis, Idaho and began working for Steve Zettel again as a river guide and a hunting guide in the Frank Church Wilderness. Looking for more adventure, he headed up to Alaska and worked for Lance Kronberger, guiding moose, grizzly bear, and brown bear hunts. After being involved with these quality and well renowned outfitters, Tanner has gained a wealth of information and guiding experience that he now brings to his own outfitting business.

Natalie Redick

Tanner met Natalie while guiding on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River. When she returned to North Carolina, she rented a U-Haul with a car hauler and drove across the country by herself to Challis, Idaho to be with Tanner.

They got married at a ranch at the mouth of the East Fork of the Salmon River which is the beginning of the hunting area they now operate in.

They now have a baby boy, named Ty River.

Natalie is a devoted wife and mother, office manager, accountant, chef, camp cook, sales person, river guide, jewelry maker, gardner, if you can name it, she’s done it and does it well. Natalie handles the sometimes tedious and boring office work that comes with outfitting. She puts in a lot of behind the scenes work that keeps the operation running smoothly. Chances are if you’ve worked with us very much at all, you’ve talked to Natalie and she’s helped you out in some way.

Ty Redick

Just like his brother, Ty has been brought up in the outdoors. He’s been raised in the mountains around Challis and on the Salmon River that runs through it. It’s hard to picture a time where Ty wasn’t outside whether it was Steelhead fishing in the spring, floating on the Middle Fork of the Salmon in the summer or chasing elk and mule deer in the fall. Besides his dad owning a river permit in Challis, Ty really started his guiding career on the Middle Fork where his training began at the age of 12. He went on training trips until the age of 18 when finally legal to guide. At the age of 18, Ty went to school at Idaho State University where he got a degree in business management while also continuing guiding in the summer and springs. Ty has also spent several years guiding in the Frank Church Wilderness and has spent a fall in Alaska packing moose.
